Boscia Makeup- Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil, Tsubaki Cleansing Gel and Tsubaki Oil Review

Hello Gems and Jewels!

In an effort to give my face a break from the scrubbing with the Neutrogena makeup wipes, I decided to try two of the Boscia cleansing products along with the beauty oil.  Let me just say that I became a big fan of Boscia about two years ago when I tried the Tsubaki Beauty Oil and it is fabulous.  The oil is so amazing and it can be used on everything from your face to your feet.  Now it is definitely a bit pricey but once again worth splurging on.  I happen to suffer from eczema and there are several mornings, especially in the winter, that I do my morning makeup routine and then finish it by dabbing a drop of the Tsubaki oil in the palms of my hand and press it on my face.  Not only does this soothe my eczema but it gives me a dewy glow if I use enough to do so. I know some of you are thinking oil...that can't be right.  Tsubaki (Camelllia) oil has been used as part of Japanese beauty rituals forever.  In addition to that, the oil is lightweight, fast absorbing, soothing and moisturizing.  On the days that I don't wear makeup, I cleanse my face with Boscia cleanser and follow with the Tsubaki Oil as my moisturizer.

The Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil is great for those of us on the go and those who need to remove your makeup quickly.  Although the instructions say that you should rinse with warm water, you could just as easily wipe the makeup off with a soft cloth until you can get to the shower.  This particular oil has a cooling effect which is nice too when you want to have a clean face after a long day.  The Tsubaki Cleansing Gel is a cleansing gel that also removes makeup and impurities.  It does not strip you face and it is fragrance free.  I use it daily in the shower after I remove my makeup so if I miss anything, this gel will definitely take care of it.

My Fair Ladies

Hello Gems and Jewels!!

I am so grateful to have had the honor to make a few of my friends/sisters even more beautiful on their wedding days.  Any artist who has ever done a wedding, knows the stress of wanting to get everything perfect for the bride.  You want nothing more for her than to see that day go by seamlessly and beautifully.  If you have done weddings you also know that this scenario is very rarely the case.  I will say that I have loved each and every experience and I would not trade it for the world.  I soooo enjoyed the sisterhood, the laughter, the tears, the excitement and the rush of it all.  Now cleaning all the brushes is not my favorite thing to do but I guess it IS a necessary evil!  Enjoy the photos and thanks for reading.  All of the following ladies have a piece of my heart for sure.

NYE Look..Seeing GREEN~Happy 2015

Hello Gems and Jewels and Happy New Year!

I have been neglectful, yes I have...but thanks to my good girlfriends, I was gently reminded that I need to blog! Since the last blog I have done several looks but I figured that I would start my New Year's Eve look and work my way backwards.  Originally, I wanted to do a green eye with a pink or vampy lip but once I finished my eye, I was inspired to go with a monotone look and keep the green going.

As usual, Urban Decay does not disappoint with the Vice 3 and Naked 3 palettes.  I used "Dragon" for the green eye and used several colors out of the Naked 3 palette, including dust, burnout and liar for my crease, highlight and transition colors.  For my lip, I created the color with my ever-faithful MUFE flash palette and a MUFE green eye liner pencil.  I have to admit this look was extremely fun to do and wear.  Enjoy the looks and feel free to comment or ask questions and a big, big thank you to my girls for always looking forward to a blog post and inspiring me to get back to posting!!

My New Year's Eve LOTD

Hey Gems and Jewels!! Although I had to work this year instead of partaking in any of the festivities celebrating the New Year, I decided that I would add a little glitter to my makeup and some glam to my outfit. I usually wear a black uniform and plaid shirt to work but I changed that up a little bit…just added some spice! Here I will feature my makeup look as the outfit I wore.  Unfortunately,I still had to wear an ugly, comfortable shoe so I will not feature my shoe.  It sucks to have worked but I'm happy I can share my look with you all.  Just a little something to brighten my evening while I was working.  Enjoy, hope you like! Thanks for reading!

Smashbox Liquid Halo HD Foundation

Hello Gems and Jewels! I can't say enough about the Smashbox Halo foundation.  It has been my "go-to" foundation for the last three months.  I was extremely surprised that Smashbox hit the mark with the darker tones because both the BB Cream and regular foundation have too much of a red undertone in it, making it hard to match those of us with yellow undertones.  I initially sampled this foundation to be sure it was a good match and as soon as it hit my skin I was in love! I have completely finished a bottle and am moving onto my second bottle.

I applied it with a BeautyBlender sponge in a stippling motion and it blends out perfect to give you a flawless finish! It is virtually weightless and feels more like a moisturizer as opposed to a foundation.  After applying the Liquid Halo foundation, it is best to set it with at translucent HD powder.  I'm telling you that I have received so many compliments about my skin glowing since I've started wearing this foundation.  Now I generally have great skin but the Smashbox Liquid Halo Foundation blurs imperfection making my skin look absolutely flawless! It also reflects light perfectly making it great for pictures.  For my oily gems and jewels…do not use a primer under this foundation and it should work out just fine for you.

This foundation is a little on the pricey side but if you are looking to splurge on an HD foundation, this bottle at $42.00 is the going rate for a higher end foundation.  I LOVE it and have totally but temporarily neglected my MUFE and MAC foundations…and now moving onto my second bottle!! Thanks for reading dolls!

Pros: *Super blendable *HD with SPF15 *Brightens complexion *Wears well *Lightweight *Light to Medium coverage
